At the NorthPoint Foundation, we understand the importance of celebrating milestones and creating special memories for students. To honor the graduating 8th graders at Kansas City International Academy (KCIA), we decided to bring a refreshing and fun surprise to their last days of school.
On a hot, sunny day, the excitement was palpable as the Kona Ice truck rolled into the school. The students' faces lit up with joy as they lined up to choose their favorite flavors of shave ice. It was a perfect way to cool down and enjoy a sweet treat before heading off for the summer break.
The Kona Ice celebration was more than just a tasty delight; it was a moment of recognition and pride for the hard work and achievements of the 8th graders. As they enjoyed their icy treats, they reflected on their time at KCIA and looked forward to the exciting adventures ahead in high school.
Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of the students as they savored their Kona Ice was a heartwarming experience for all of us. It reinforced our belief in the power of community support and the joy of celebrating important milestones together.
