The NorthPoint Foundation is proud to support the budding athletes of Kansas City International Academy (KCIA) through our recent donation of specialty track shoes for their track team. Witnessing the sheer excitement and joy among the students as they received their new spike shoes was truly heartwarming.
Located within the Kansas City, Missouri School District, KCIA serves as a beacon of diversity and inclusion, welcoming students from kindergarten through 8th grade from over 25 different countries. Many of these students, approximately 60%, are English Language Learners proficient in more than 15 languages. Additionally, a significant portion of KCIA's student body comprises refugee families who face unique challenges, including limited access to resources like track shoes.
Our partnership with KCIA reflects our commitment to supporting underserved communities and providing opportunities for youth to excel both academically and athletically. By supplying specialty track shoes to the school's track team, we aim to remove barriers and empower students to pursue their athletic passions with confidence.
We believe in the transformative power of education and athletics in shaping young lives. Through initiatives like this, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students at KCIA and beyond.
Join us in celebrating the achievements of these talented young athletes as they lace up their new shoes and hit the track with determination and pride. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.
